About Us

Melinda Nettleton qualified as a solicitor in 1980 working initially for a local authority and then for the Crown Prosecution Service. She specialized in litigation (evidence and advocacy).

Melinda has three children, one of whom has Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and a severe Language Disorder and has an Independent Specialist School named in Part 4 of his Statement.


Melinda has a base in the Suffolk market town of Bury St Edmunds and also has an office in London Work of this nature, requires travel all over the country, and Melinda also spends a great deal of time in London

Melinda has been involved in Education Law both in a voluntary profession capacity through her own practice SEN Legal.
She has been an IPSEA representative, chairman of her local Dyslexia Association and is currently a member of the governing body of an Independent School. She is also trustee of major national education charities, the Dyslexia Institute (now known as Dyslexia Action) and SOS!SEN.
