We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time administrative assistant to join our Customer Services team.

SEN Legal is a specialist education and disability law firm with a national client base. We act solely on behalf of parents/young persons in relation to all matters regarding their child’s special educational needs including SEND Tribunals, Judicial Review, Social Care, Deputyship, Continuing Healthcare, Disability Discrimination, Exclusions and Admissions Appeals. We also act for independent and Academy Schools.

The main duty of the role of a Customer Service Team Member is to provide support within the Customer Services Team and provide assistance to the Legal Team. You will be one of the first people our clients speak to over the telephone or by email. Your role includes a variety of administrative duties which are vital to the day-to-day running of the Practice.

An example of the tasks associated with the role are:

  • To answer incoming phone calls and transferring calls where appropriate

  • To respond to any incoming emails

  • To Photocopy Tribunal Bundles

  • To Process new clients onto case management software

  • Typing for the legal team

  • To take dictation from the legal team

  • To check the answer machine for any voicemails

  • To deal with any incoming post/franking and recording of outgoing post

  • To record disbursements such as postage and photocopying charges

  • To access and download files from online sharing sites such as; Egress, Dropbox, and Google drive

  • To order office stationery

  • To arrange collection of confidential waste, the collection of hygiene waste bins and recycling of printer cartridges

  • To make regular tea and coffee making throughout the working day

Somebody with administrative experience and a good typing speed is preferred but not required. The role involves working with different applications and therefore computer experience is desired. The role would be suited for somebody who has good organisational skills and is hardworking. The suitable candidate will be a team-player with a positive attitude.

Starting salary £18,000. Working hours 9-5, Monday-Friday. Various company benefits.
