We also act for independent and Academy Schools.

The main duty of the role of the Paralegal is to provide support to the Solicitors and assist in the management of client cases. You will be allocated your own cases on which you will be expected to take responsibility, working alongside the Solicitor and managing the day to day correspondence and developments relating to the client’s case. You will work closely with clients primarily across email and telephone.

  • To ensure that our case management software and Outlook are kept up to date with all ‘Key Dates’ and deadlines. To monitor all deadlines on assigned cases, and liaise with the Solicitor/Legal Executive as to their compliance.

  • To lodge Appeals as and when required.

  • To send out Provision of Place Forms as required. To work with Schools to gather evidence to support a client's case.

  • To submit GDPR requests as required, and to sift records received under guidance of the Solicitor.

  • To draft FOI responses as required.

  • To assist with the preparation of evidence for the Further Information deadline and liaise with expert witnesses as to timescales.

  • To serve Additional Evidence as required.

  • To draft Requests to the Tribunal under guidance of the Solicitor.

  • To arrange conferences and prepare instructions to Counsel.
