Saori Elliot
Paralegal

I recently joined SEN Legal as a Paralegal. Before this, I worked at Citizens Advice as an adviser and as a specialist tutor for adults with complex needs.
My passion for SEND law comes from my own experience of being a mother of a child with learning disabilities. That lived experience has shaped my commitment to supporting parents who are trying to secure the right education and support for their children.
Through my previous work, I met many adults who had previously received education with their Statements or EHCPs, secured through the dedication of their parents. Seeing their confidence and pride in their achievements showed me just how life-changing the right educational support can be. These experiences encouraged me to study law through distance learning with the Open University alongside my work.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me out and about with my next-door neighbour’s golden retriever. I also enjoy teaching my children and their friends how to cook Japanese food.
