SEN Legal are leading experts specialising in education law. Originally a niche solicitor's practice specialising in Appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST) through out England and Wales, we continue to handle well over 200 appeals to SENDIST a year.

We now handle a far wider range of Education Law cases including DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) claims, appeals to the High Court and Court of Appeal against SENDIST decisions, School Exclusion Hearings, and School Admission Appeals.
We also deal with breach of contract and DDA claims involving Independent Schools, and higher education (i.e. problems at Universities).

We deal with routine complaints to the Department for Education and Skills/DFES involving maladministration and Local Government Ombudsman.

In addition we deal with Social Services Provision associated with learning disabilities.

Our clients are mainly parents and grandparents, but we are also instructed by schools and University students.

As a practice we work routinely with families who have children with diagnosis on the Autistic Spectrum, including Asperges Syndrome, ABA Programmes, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, Speech and Language Disorders, Augmentative and Alternative communication, Fine and Gross Motor skill difficulties, Sensory Integration difficulties, Hearing Impairment and Cochlear Implants, Tourettes Syndrome, genetic disorders such as Down Syndrome, brain injuries and birth injuries such as Cerebral Palsy, Conductive Education and emotional and behavioural difficulties such as School Refusal, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Attachment Disorders.

Whilst there is no such thing as a racing cert, we have a very high success rate, currently over 90%.
